Just 4 The Beat 004 was well worth waiting for. It comes from Eastern Europe's Urban Haven, who clearly takes great inspiration from deep and soulful Chicago house masters like Glenn Underground and Ron Trent. His first ever EP is an impossibly classy one, and "Roots (Reprise)" is a glorious highlight that starts with luxurious synth puddles and a romantic, conversational sax line. After a three minute build, you sink into a Latin flecked deep house groove of the highest order. This is as musical as house gets

As a London based DJ and producer Urban Haven has been discovering underground house music since the early 2000s. His earlier music focused on funky and soulful house, but after his long involvement with various radio stations that syndicated the Urban Haven Radio Show, he began to explore and develop a taste for the sophisticated fusion of electronica and live instruments.

His debut release the Human Experience EP is the result of that. The four tracks are a mix of deep, soulful, broken beat & house grooves, raw but quality all the way, showing great skill in the arrangement of his melodies.

On the opener 'Hypnotising" the mesmerizing vocals, atmospheric keys and chords transport you to a heavenly place. Nara moves more upbeat, again with some stunning chord work and 4/4 snares, whilst Roots switches to a sunny samba beat. Roots gets a Reprise Remix which invites us to a deeper place, with smoky jazz club trumpets a plenty.
